The finance team is at the heart of the council, and these roles will be leading and integrating the delivery of a range of financial services to add value, drive change and facilitate the ambitions of Southend-on-Sea.
Your new role
Southend City Council is seeking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to support the Adult Social Care andmissioning team.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner for Adults andmunities, you will lead a small team of financial analysts delivering aprehensive Financial Management and Business Partnering service. You will work closely with Directors and Heads of Service, to ensure that they make informed decisions that deliver better oues for the recipients of Adult services, within the context of affordability and value for money.
You will ideally have gained experience and a proven record of financial business partnering, supporting senior managers of services, including annual budget development, general ledger maintenance, year-end close down procedures, unit cost and activity analysis in a localernment environment. However, experience in Adult Services is not essential.
You will also be working as part of a wider dedicated and focused financial management team, and you can expect the role to be dynamic and adaptable, responding to the current demands and challenges.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified accountant (CCAB) and have experience in a large orplex organisation, and strong technical skills.
A high level of EXCEL skills are crucial. You must be professional and confident in discussions with all members of the Council and external parties.Southend-on-Sea City Council is looking for people to drive positive change whilst delivering results, building great relationships within the organisation and delivering a first-class service to the senior team.
What you'll get in return
They are offering apetitive salary from £43,421 - £49,498 dependent on expertise. However, this role offers the opportunity for candidates with a broad depth of experience in relevant areas of the role to be offered from £50,512 - £55,737.
