Its hybrid working (50/50 split) so you need to live within commuting distance of Glasgow.
Role responsibilities include:
* Ensuring business objectives are achieved through the development of operating models and technologies.
* Representing both the business and the technology capability for UK local solutions
* Facing off to internal stakeholders (local and offshore) and external stakeholders (clients, prospects, vendors/suppliers, industry groups, media).
* Developing engineering capability (methodologies, staff skills, structures, systems and management disciplines) used to operate the business and clients.
* Analysing existing end-to-end business processes and data-flows, as well as new business information requirements.
* Defining problem areas and translating these into business requirements.
* Documenting recommendations for new and improved processes and systems changes.
* Liaising with internal IT teams and/or external IT vendors.
* Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
* Quality management
Required experience should include:
* Good understanding of the UK market clearing and custody environments
* Experience in change management, business analysis or process development and/or consulting role
* Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
* A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
* Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
* Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
* Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
* Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
* Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
* Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
* Problem solving and root cause identification skills
* Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
Advantageous experience:
* Understanding of the Software development lifecycle
* Knowledge of SWIFT, Corporate Actions, Broker Dealing or Fidessa Post trade activity
