Interim Head of People Programmes and Planning
This role is open to current employees within People and Culture at the University of Leeds only.
Salary: Grade 9 (£56,021 - £64,914 p.a. depending upon experience)
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
This key role will lead the development and governance of the People and Culture Directorate (PCD) project portfolio, as well as overseeing delivery of all programmes led within the People Programmes and Planning team; supporting the timely achievement of our strategic aims,.
You will also play a key role in ensuring that activity upon which the Corporate Processes and Systems (CPS) programme is dependent is identified and delivered in required timescales, supporting the readiness of the Directorate to undertake this transformational change.
You will work with leaders across the Directorate to embed a shared purpose and vision across PCD, as well as leading your own team through the period of transformation and beyond.
To achieve our aims, members of the People and Culture Directorate leadership team work together to define and deliver our shared goals, targeting resource across the service to meet internal priorities and external requirements. Together, the team ensures a University wide focus on activities necessary to enhance organisational effectiveness, ensuring effective working and behaviours across the directorate with an element of fluidity between the leadership roles.
Working with teams across the Directorate, as well as key stakeholders across the University, you will build and maintain effective relationships, creating a culture of trust and providing professional support and challenge.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and develop your team of professional colleagues to deliver a high quality and strategically aligned service are key to success within this role. You will also have specialist expertise and professional credibility in managing the delivery of multiple large-scale, complex programmes of work.
