Head of Clinical Services (Maternity Cover)
Kinvara Private Hospital is a modern private hospital located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. We offer a comprehensive range of surgical and medical services. The hospital has had significant investment, setting us on the path to becoming South Yorkshire’s premier private hospital. We are currently undergoing further expansion and redevelopment to broaden our service offerings.
As the Head of Clinical Services, you will hold a pivotal role within our Hospital; delivering engaging communication to our teams, patients and wider hospital peers, bringing innovative ideas and the ability to collaborate at all levels. Your responsibilities will focus on optimizing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of excellence in healthcare provision.
Duties:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance clinical services and patient care outcomes.
- Provide leadership to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
2. Clinical Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor and optimize clinical workflows to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
- Participation in hospital cover / manager on-call rotas including weeknights and weekend shifts where applicable.
3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and quality standards in clinical practices.
- Implement comprehensive compliance programs to maintain high standards of care.
- Ensuring incidents and complaints are recorded in accordance with Kinvara policy and processes.
- Investigating and referring all adverse incidents appropriately and maintaining accurate and factual reports.
- Ensuring all clinical policies are up to date and reflective of the business.
- Completion of audits scheduled and actions plans.
- Monitor and manage the Hospital Risk Register.
4. Staff Development and Training:
- Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of clinical staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the clinical team.
5. Patient Care Coordination:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans effectively.
- Ensure seamless transitions of care for patients across different departments.
6. Performance Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in clinical services and implement strategies for enhancement.
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience in managing clinical services within a healthcare setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
* In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in healthcare.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
* Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration or related field (preferred).
* Certification in Healthcare Management or relevant field (desired).
* Registered Nurse Level 1 or Registered practitioner / Diploma / Relevant Health Speciality Degree / Degree Level qualification.
* Knowledge of Clinical Governance frameworks and Quality assurance tools.
