Reporting to the Sales Director you will maintain and develop Independent, National and Buying Group Merchants in the Southeast of England /South London.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the Plumbing and Heating industry. You will be passionate about sales, ambitious, strategic, and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities for the Area Sales Manager:
* Managing an existing customer base but always trying to increase the depth of product and range they stock
* To manage time between looking after existing business but always striving to create new business partners
* Taking full responsibility on the business customer accounts – Dealing with any issues or concerns, dealing with returns, stock issues etc.
* To demonstrate and sell new products available from the business
* To attend trade shows and events to push the companies’ products and services but to also keep up with market trends and products.
* To continually strive to meet and exceed set targets on sales revenue, margin, and volume within the existing and new database
* To physically take sales orders and to liaise with other departments to assist in the smooth efficient transaction of that order
* To meet all personal and business objectives and KPI’s that are set
For this Area Sales Manager role the employer is looking for:
* Relevant sales experience within the Plumbing / Heating industry
* Strong business acumen
* Experience of using MS Office applications
* Be ambitious, driven and goal-oriented
* Possess negotiation skills
* Possess excellent communication and people skills and be highly self-motivated
