Main duties of the job Band 6 Pharmacists participate in our training rotation providing a wide variety of experience including surgical, acute admissions and emergency medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics. Whatever your ambitions, our personalised clinical training programme will develop your medicine optimisation skills. Band 7 Pharmacists have sufficient experience not to require direct professional support and will participate in a range of routine professional and clinical services provided by the department, but will also be allocated to a specific service(s) as part of their duties for example Aseptics, Anticoagulation Clinics, Intermediate Care Services, Medicines Infomation, Palliative Care, Clinical Trials, iQemo, Trainee Pharmacist tutor and Immunoglobulins. The pharmacist may accompany a Consultant on his / her regular ward rounds; attend Pharmacist-led clinics. The Pharmacist will be required to take an active part in new service development.
