Are you a passionate and innovative Music Production teacher ready to inspire the next generation of music industry leaders? Do you thrive in a dynamic, industry-focused environment where creativity and cutting-edge technology meet?
Global Academy is seeking an ambitious and driven Music Production Teacher to join our exceptional team and play a key role in shaping the future of music education. This is a rare opportunity to lead and expand our music production offering, providing students with the skills, experiences, and industry connections they need to thrive.
About Us Global Academy is a specialist UTC focused on preparing young people for careers in the creative, media, and digital industries. Proudly sponsored by Global Media and Entertainment—Europe’s largest media and entertainment group, home to brands like Capital, Heart, LBC, Smooth, Classic FM, Radio X, and Gold—we offer unparalleled access to industry leaders, real-world projects, and career-focused opportunities.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include professional music production and recording studios, digital computer suites, 8 radio studios, 3 TV and Visual Podcast Studios, an Esports Studio and Live Streaming suite, and industry-standard editing suites. This provides our students with an immersive learning environment that mirrors industry settings.
As a UTC, we admit students at the start of Key Stage 4 (Year 10), allowing us to focus on delivering a curriculum that balances academic rigour with vocational specialisms, preparing students for successful futures without the constraints of Progress 8 and EBacc measures.
The Role This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire as a Music Production Teacher. You will:
* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in music production to Key Stage 4 students.
* Play a pivotal role in developing and launching our Key Stage 5 Music Production course in September 2025.
* Collaborate with industry partners to ensure the curriculum reflects current trends and skills demanded by the music industry.
* Guide and mentor students as they develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge relevant to music production.
* Contribute to wider academy initiatives, such as supporting G:Ventures and potentially teaching media courses or PE.
* Inspire students to Think Big, Keep it Simple, Own it, and Be Better Together.
Whether you're an experienced FE or school teacher, an ECT, or a seasoned industry practitioner, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Why Join Us? At Global Academy, we prioritise staff wellbeing and professional growth. You will benefit from:
* Flexible PPA time, with the option to work off-site.
* Dedicated marking and planning time for workload balance.
* A two-week October half term for rest and rejuvenation.
* Access to tailored CPD, coaching, and leadership programmes.
* The opportunity to work in an innovative, industry-connected educational setting.
Global Academy is a vibrant, supportive community where innovation thrives and where staff are empowered to make a real difference.
What We’re Looking For:
* A passionate and inspiring teacher with experience in music production or related fields.
* A creative educator eager to develop and launch an engaging curriculum.
* A collaborative professional committed to student success and industry relevance.
* Experience teaching media courses or involvement in extracurricular activities like G:Ventures or PE is a plus.
