Senior Audiologist with Special Interest in Paediatrics

Applications are invited from qualified Audiologists with a special interest in Paediatric Audiology and bone conductive hearing devices.
The South Tees Audiology Service team is proud to deliver high quality, innovative Audiology care. The team delivers a variety of paediatric audiology services along with other sub-specialty audiology care which includes both implantable acoustic devices (IAD) and are the regional cochlear implant providers for both paediatric and adult patients.
Within the wider Audiology department, there is an in-house earmould lab, Audiologist-led balance clinics including vestibular rehabilitation, paediatrics/neonatal screening, and fast-track GP Audiology screening. The main purpose-built department is located in The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough with outreach services offered across the Tees Valley and surrounding areas.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* BSc Audiology or equivalent
* Registered as one of the following: HCPC as Clinical Scientist, RCCP as Clinical Physiologist, AHCS as Health Care Scientist
* MSc in Audiology or equivalent
* British Sign Language level one or equivalent
* BAA Higher Training Scheme Certificate of Clinical Competence in specialist area(s) role is within, or equivalent (e.g. for paediatric assessment roles, HCCC in Paediatric Assessment)
Knowledge
* Significant post-qualification clinical experience (to include experience within adults and paediatrics)
* Teaching, supervision, and mentorship experience
Key Skills
* Excellent communication skills to enable building good rapport with colleagues and patients
* Able to organise own day-to-day work
* Good team working skills
* Able to work independently
* Self-motivated to deliver a high-quality service
* Presentation skills to include use of Powerpoint
* Ability to travel independently as may be required for this particular job role

* Experience of NHS Audiology Services
