Myddelton College is a leading co-educational, day and boarding school with pupils aged 4-18. We are situated in the historic town of Denbigh in North Wales. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Chemistry teacher with high standards and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will teach Chemistry from Key Stage Three to Sixth Form and ideally, another Science at Key Stage Four.
The role involves teaching Chemistry across all age ranges, inspiring and engaging students in their learning journey. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the Chemistry curriculum and resources, and support co-curricular Chemistry activities, including competitions, seminars, trips, and visits. Additionally, they will mentor students applying to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.
Applicants should have a strong background in Chemistry or a related field, with at least two years of teaching experience preferred. We are looking for an energetic and inspiring classroom practitioner with an active interest in pedagogical development and best teaching practices.

Our Science Department is staffed by dedicated and qualified specialists who work with motivated and ambitious students. Science is taught up to year 9, with GCSE and A Level Chemistry following the AQA syllabus. We have six laboratories supported by a specialist technician, and lessons are delivered with the assistance of Teams and OneNote. Our busy Science-based co-curricular programme includes regular participation in RSC Olympiads.
