ROLE: Senior Wintel Active Directory SME

The successful candidate will join a highly skilled team of infrastructure engineers providing technical infrastructure design and implementation to central and regional UK Secure Accounts. The role will require a flexible working ethic and a pragmatic approach to IT Cloud and Platform Project Delivery. Successful candidates will have a design, implementation and support background, great customer service and communication skills. They will have a keen interest in innovation alongside a willingness to implement new ways of working and automation.
Please note, this role will be based on site in either Newcastle or Erskine and as a result we require applications from candidates commutable to either locations. The role will be subject to DV clearance so as a result applicants should be UK nationals who hold or meet the criteria for DV.
Description of Role
Provide expert design, implementation and troubleshooting for multi forest Active Directory service (DFS, DNS, WINS, LDAP etc)
Promote and demote domain controllers
Support AD name resolution technologies (DNS, WINS, DHCP, Infoblox)
Implement AD security methodologies (JEA, JIT, Delegation models and Tiered Admin model)
Perform AD schema extensions
Create PowerShell scripts
Support Azure AD, AAD-DS and other Azure technologies
IDAM project delivery & process design
Simplification of complex IDAM processes & tools
Maintaining security, standards and high availability of AD architecture
Design and review any required changes to Active Directory with a specific focus on structure, delegation models, tiering and management.
Education and Experience required:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. May hold professional or intermediate-level certification(s) in work field. Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.Candidates should possess at least Disclosure Scotland / BPSS clearance or be willing to undertake appropriate security vetting.
You will need to either hold or be willing to go through DV clearance as a minimum
