Global Cybersecurity is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information, technology and cybersecurity risks by ensuring these are well-understood, and that controls used the manage such events are defined, assessed and implemented appropriately. Cybersecurity predominantly delivers this via objective, independent, professional and specialized subject matter experts. The role forms part of the first line of defence in relation to the risk management framework.
The Cybersecurity Assessment and Testing (CSAT) Engineering team delivers software solutions to ensure that the CSAT team can deliver Vulnerability Management, Secure Development and Third-Party Security Assessment capabilities for the Bank. The software drives the identification, capture, assessment, testing/ verification and ultimately the remediation of security defects, gaps and vulnerabilities across HSBC’s estate in concert with business and technology teams – on-premise, within the Cloud and for those resulting from third party engagements.

In this role, you will:
* Oversee the day-to-day governance of the Engineering team including the management of delivery targets and reporting
* Support the CSAT Engineering delivery team to plan delivery of changes to IT services, ensuring that the plan is in line with the overall CSAT plan and that outcomes align to strategic objectives
* Facilitate reporting, communication both within the team and other business areas; ensuring reports and communications provide meaningful insight into CSAT Engineering progress toward meeting outcomes and requirements
* Manage the Engineering input into CSAT operational budget, headwinds and expenditure to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment of spend with forecast
* Manage the recruitment of new personnel, performance management activities, learning opportunities and coaching across the team to support development targets
* Support and build communities of practice, including leading team building and collaboration activities to ensure a collaborative and teamwork-focused environment where process improvements are identified and adopted across the delivery community
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Experience facilitating and leading delivery planning in an agile software delivery team
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience of understanding and meeting the needs of multiple teams
* Experience of managing a change process and following SDLC practices
* Experience of managing and extracting data to provide meaningful insights into the performance of the team and compliance to standards
* Experience of working in DevOps & Agile models, including usage of tooling such as JIRA
* Hands-on personnel management experience
* Ability to communicate complex and technical issues and topics to diverse audiences
* Proven experience of delivering business change and process improvement within a software delivery team
