Job Summary
We have an Intermediate Care Support Worker vacancy available on our new wards to support the No Criteria to reside patients within our hospital. This purpose-built ward will have the capacity to support 53 patients who will require nursing and therapy interventions. The ward and the pathways of care are being designed to specifically support this group of patients in a safe and friendly environment.
It will be demanding, but a new concept of care with the introduction of new non-registered roles to support this patient group. It will of course be challenging, but also rewarding and exciting to be a part of.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work with a new team, and together build a great experience for both our patients and the team as a whole.
Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
Main Duties of the Job
The role will assist the Ward Team (Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists) to carry out daily duties pertaining to the round-the-clock care and rehabilitation of patients within a no criteria to reside ward setting. You will adopt a reablement and rehabilitation approach supporting individual patients to maximize their functional abilities and thereby facilitate a safe and timely discharge to a variety of discharge destinations.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, have a caring and compassionate nature, and work well within the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Essential:
1. NVQ Level 3 or higher in H&SC
2. Evidence of completing the CSW or core 2 competences
3. Completion of the care certificate

1. Steps programme / further education

1. Experience of working with the public in the realm of customer care
