We are looking for a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our outstanding team in this small and hugely successful all year round setting.
The nursery is led by an experienced Manager, Deputy Manager and Room Leads, who support and work with the team to provide a stimulating environment for our children.
The successful candidate will be an important member of the team responsible for a key group and will have the opportunity to work with our nursery children, after school and holiday clubs. They will gain experience in working with a wide range of children aged 2-12 years old.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 - 3 in Childcare
* Full time
* Monday - Thursday (8.30am - 5.30pm), Friday (8.30am - 6pm)
* All year round (50 Weeks)
* Salary is dependent on experience / qualification and will be discussed at interview
Positions:
1. Position 1 – 4 days p/week (M,T,W&F) 8.30am-6pm; hourly rate £12.20
2. Position 2 – 4 days p/week (T-F) 8am-5pm; hourly rate £12.20
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for duties assigned on rota. Play with and teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.
* Responsible for helping to plan weekly curriculum and recommend improvements to nursery activities and organisation.
* Responsible for helping setting-up the nursery room / nursery classroom area ready for the sessions and afterschool club.
* Act as a Key Person responsible for a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
* Responsible for maintaining manageable records and assessments on those children in the Key Person group.
* Attend staff meetings and in-service training courses.
* Advise the Nursery Manager/Deputy Nursery Manager of any concerns, e.g., children, parents, or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
