Thomas Bradley & Co, a well-established legal, property, and financial services group based in East Kilbride, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Accountant to join our team through an exciting new business named Insight.Tax.
Insight.Tax will be providing accountancy and tax advice to clients within the professional services industries.
This is a pivotal role within our organisation, where you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth financial operation of our diverse group of companies.
Your responsibilities will include not only managing the day-to-day financial activities but also working closely with clients to provide expert advice and solutions tailored to their unique needs. This client-facing aspect of the role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to fostering strong relationships, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the firm's accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
* Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
* Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant tax and employment regulations.
* Work closely with a number of clients to provide expert advice and solutions tailored to their unique needs.
* Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles.
* Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting to support the firm's strategic objectives.
* Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve the firm's financial efficiency.
* Stay up-to-date on current tax legislation and legal sector accounting best practices.
Skills and Experience:
* A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar accounting role, ideally within the legal or financial services sector.
* Strong understanding of UK GAAP and relevant tax legislation.
* Proficient in accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across all departments.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive salary of £40,000.00 - £50,000 per annum.
