About the role:
You will be responsible for advising, recommending and resolving difficult Family Housing maintenance problems of a regulatory or procedural nature, as referred by lower-graded employees. You will participate in regular or periodic surveys or audits to identify housing maintenance requirements or deficiencies and resolve a variety of housing problems by assembling facts through interviews, monitoring complaints, and other housing maintenance actions and issues. In addition, you will perform presentations, conduct meetings, and conduct special studies or reviews. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a fixed schedule (Mon-Fri 0800-1600) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization’s flexible working policies.
About you:
You will be knowledgeable of a wide range of complex real property principles, concepts, and practices, as well as agency, state, and local government procedures, and the appropriate statutes and policies. You will have knowledge of property disposal policies and procedures, out grant procedures, local market situations, and required documentation, in addition to policies and procedures for real property documentation, records and common accounting and data analysis principles. You will have the skills required in gathering, evaluating, and interpreting data to arrive at valid conclusions and offer meaningful recommendations and to analyze space utilization requirements and make recommendations on reuse. You will be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and diplomacy.
Qualification requirements:
* One year’s Specialized experience in the appropriate field.
* 1 full year of graduate level education in the appropriate field.
* Superior academic achievement in the appropriate field.
* A valid Category B driving license is required.
* Professional housing certification is desirable.
Other significant facts about the role:
You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other countries, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. This position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You may be required to operate a motor vehicle while conducting site surveys and studies. You may be subject to temporary duty assignments.
