This role offers the opportunity to work within a team of highly experienced Machinists in our innovative workshop, building a variety of equipment in a fast-paced environment. About the Role You will be machining pump components, shafts, impellers, and parts off of industrial water, chemical, vacuum pumps, and all types of rotating equipment. Other duties to assist in the machining and repair of rotating equipment include: Machining accurately from drawings and samples. Utilising remedial and reverse engineering practices - salvage bushes, shaft reclamation, etc. Recording dimensions and ensuring documentation is actioned and completed. Working as part of a busy team. Essential Skills The successful candidate must be a time-served and accurate machinist (CGLI Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) Working knowledge of centre lathes, borers, milling, slotting and radial arm drills Good engineering knowledge/skills required - working to close tolerances Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a workshop Assembly work with components may also be required Demanding positions with some lifting involved, mainly using mechanical aids Good documentation skills required Desirable Skills You will need a can-do approach Organised and able to work to agreed time scales Clean and presentable appearance About Company Pump Supply & Repair Group was established in 1969.
