The job itself
Due to the forthcoming retirement of our highly respected headteacher of longstanding, the governors of Market Weighton Infant School are looking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and forward thinking leader who has the passion for learning and holistic development. Market Weighton Infant School is a three-form entry community infant and nursery school that serves the small rural town of Market Weighton and a number of outlying rural villages. There are currently 294 pupils on roll, aged three to seven years. All staff strive to make our school an outstanding learning community in which all children enjoy their education with the core purpose of them becoming confident, successful life-long learners and responsible citizens.
The Governing Board has carefully considered the school's future, and the school has plans to become an academy as part of a new Multi-Academy Trust. There is the opportunity to be a key player in developing the school's future direction. Market Weighton Infant School is currently an East Riding of Yorkshire Local Authority maintained school.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to visit the school; please contact the school office.
