The company are a leading residential developer operating throughout the south. Due to rapid planned growth the company are looking to appoint an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager.
As Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager, you will be reporting to the Group Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Director and part of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) Department. You will be managing and improving the Business Management System (BMS) via our SharePoint platform as well as managing the International Standards and Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) that the company adhere to.
You will also be required to undertake Group Internal Audits in line with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 27001 and 14064-1. Such duties will be within your capabilities, qualifications and certification and within the scope of your post. All NCRs or Observations raised both internally and externally shall be closed out promptly with the auditee/auditor. You will assist the departmental head to improve the BMS with a clear focus on the user experience. Close liaison will be required with our external certification bodies (i.e. BSI, FORS, SSIPs, etc.). You will provide a timely, accurate and efficient service and have excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. The role will be based our head office and travelling to our sites, offices and
yards. Your duties will include (but are not limited to) continuously develop and effectively implement the Company's Management Systems and to build upon the company’s award-winning reputation; as well as developing Company Policies in line with the company’s respective objectives, whilst maintaining compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements and any such duties and tasks as are allocated to you at the discretion of the Company. Please note you must not undertake work that you are not competent to perform.
You will be required to set the highest levels of quality assurance. To ensure a quality assurance monthly scored audit is undertaken across all sites on a monthly basis via the Company SharePoint System and manage the audit programme. To prepare a monthly Quality Assurance board report to be presented to the Group HSEQ Director on a monthly basis. To prepare an ISO internal audit programme for the ISOs across the Group of Companies and lead on the programmed audits. To advise the site teams on all Quality Assurance matters along with ensuring all Non-Conformances are closed out from both internal and external audits. To assist with the Business Management System improvements.
Requirements
What skills and experiences are essential to do this job?
• You will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally in the housebuilding or
construction industry.
• Continually develop and implement the Management System to ISO 9001, ISO
14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO 27001, ISO 14064-1, SSIP and to industry 'best practice'
• Review, develop and maintain company related procedures and guidance.
• To ensure the HSEQ compliance monitoring is undertaken across all parts of the
business.
• Keep up to date with new legislation and best practices in the industry, including
maintaining the requisite legal registers for the company and communicating relevant
information to Company personnel.
• Manage the collection and analysis of data for HSEQ KPI's and reporting for objective
target generation for continual improvement.
• Manage the internal & external HSEQ audit processes.
• Monitor and manage the close-out of corrective and preventive actions.
• Co-ordinate and manage the company certifications, ensuring all actions are closed
out to maintain certification.
• Respond to Business Development tender questions and provide guidance to new
business managers as required.
• Provide support and encouragement for development of the HSEQ team.
• To manage and update the Management System, including the issuing of Bulletins,
Alerts etc.
• Provide reports to the Operational Board as required.
• Attend divisional and departmental meetings as required.
• Undertake Group Internal and External Audits in line with the requirements of ISO
9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 27001, ISO 14064-1 & SSIPs.
• To support the Chief Executive Officer's policies.
• To comply with all procedures and instruction contained within the Company's
Management Systems applicable to your role.
• To report all instances of mal-practice and poor working standards to your Line
Manager.
• To report all accidents, incidents and near misses to your immediate
Supervisor/Manager as soon as possible.
• To ensure that you only undertake the activities for which you have been deemed
competent. Ensure that you hold the correct certification for any duties that require
specific training.
• You are required to maintain the competencies that you have been trained in and to
undertake all required assessment and where necessary retests to maintain these
competencies.
• To conduct yourself in a professional and polite manner at all times.
