About the Role
A high-achieving secondary school in Slough with an Outstanding Ofsted rating is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality Science lessons in a supportive, well-resourced, and oversubscribed school.
As a Science Teacher, you will inspire students across Key Stages 3 to 5, contribute to strong academic outcomes, and encourage students to develop a love for science. You will be joining a collaborative department that values innovation, progression, and student-centred learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Adapt lesson plans to meet the individual learning needs of all students.
3. Support students with coursework and exam preparation, ensuring strong academic progress.
4. Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance curriculum delivery.
6. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a Science Teacher who:
1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent qualification.
2. Has experience teaching Science at secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 3-5.
3. Demonstrates strong classroom management and the ability to motivate students.
4. Has a genuine passion for science education and supporting student success.
5. Is adaptable and able to differentiate lessons to suit varying abilities and learning styles.
6. Is committed to ongoing professional development and working as part of a team.
