Overview
The Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative and financial operations of the parish. This position requires a highly organised individual with strong clerical skills, proficient in various office software and tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing financial transactions, and ensuring effective communication within the parish community.
Duties
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the parish council and its committees.
2. Maintain accurate records of meetings, including minutes and agendas.
3. Manage financial records.
4. Handle correspondence and communications with parishioners.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
6. Organise parish events and meetings, coordinating logistics as required.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies in all clerical tasks.
Requirements
1. Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
2. Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role.
3. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
4. Familiarity with office procedures and practices.
5. A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
6. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
