More detail about the role We are delighted to be offering this exciting opportunity to skilled, motivated and enthusiastic applicants to provide support to our Community Speech & Language Therapy service. It is a permanent, full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, based at Exeter Community Hospital. With supervision from specialist Speech and Language Therapists, you will work in partnership with people with acquired disorders of communication and swallowing to reduce the impact of these difficulties on well-being and enhance their ability to participate in daily life. You will be responsible for initial information gathering and screening assessments for a specified caseload, as well as a range of therapeutic interventions. In addition you will contribute to the supervision of band 3 assistants, provide clerical and administrative support to the Speech and Language Therapy team and assist with the provision of training. You will need to be flexible in your approach, willing to travel to meet the needs of the service and able to use constructive feedback to develop your skills.
