In-House Employment Lawyer – Hybrid Working – 1-2 days / week in the London office
SSQ is partnering with a leading global insurance broker to recruit a mid to senior level employment lawyer, reporting directly into the General Counsel. In this newly designed role, you will provide strategic legal counsel to the senior leadership on a broad spectrum of employment matters, minimising and appropriately managing legal risk. Responsibilities will include:
* Advising on day-to-day employment issues arising, including on hiring, restrictive covenants, reward structures and settlements.
* Handling employment litigation and employment tribunal matters arising, with the assistance of external counsel where appropriate.
* Advising on the employment implications of acquisitions and integration, including TUPE transfers.
* Liaising with Group stakeholders, including the Group legal function, where employment matters require escalation etc.
* Working with HR on the legal aspects of employment related policies and procedures.
This is an opportunity for a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4/5 years’ employment law experience, gained in private practice or in house within the insurance / financial sector. You must enjoy building relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including HR.
