Finance Benefit & Debt Advisor
Salary: £26,460 per annum + Benefits (Pro Rata) - Successful candidates are subject to our Development Progression Scale, as well as annual salary reviews
Part-Time Role: 22.5 hours per week (flexible working pattern)
Covering Cheltenham or Gloucester – Due to regular travel, the role does require access to transport (i.e. daily commutes, multi-site travel on occasion).
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive community-based debt advice service to people on probation or leaving custody.
What you will be doing?
* Delivering a suite of workshops to individuals and/or groups of Service Users
* Preparing & agreeing individual action plans
* Providing specialist level Debt Casework
To be successful you will require:
* Experience working with local probation services & supporting service users with finance, benefit and debt assessments and action plans
* Experience of working with vulnerable/challenging people; utilizing strong interpersonal skills supporting individuals with ever-changing complex needs.
* Evidence of Case Management (i.e. dealing with multiple people, having difficult conversations, providing tailored solutions relating to people with ‘lived experience’. Successful candidates must be non-judgmental, open-minded, and honest when dealing with service-users)
* The ability to deliver short and tailored interventions to address barriers within a given timeframe (achieving deadlines and diary & time management experience is highly preferred)
