We are seeking a self motivated and organised individual to join our Learning Academy within Children’s Services as a Support Officer for 18.5 hours per week.
In this part time administrative role you will be responsible for providing business support to the Learning Academy including the Principal Social Worker and Practice Educator enabling them to provide a high-quality, cost-effective Workforce Development service to managers and staff from all agencies working with children, young people and families.
The post holder will support the facilitation and coordination of the ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year) programme and support student placements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for effective organisation and production of resources for meetings, training events and conferences and play a key role in developing marketing and training materials for the Learning Academy whilst ensuring the website is up to date and information is of a high quality.
The post holder is expected to deliver a high standard of customer service using effective interpersonal and communication skills including telephone, email and face to face with a customer focussed approach.
We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of working with a range of IT software including Microsoft Office and would be confident in liaising with a variety of trainers / providers and learners across our Children’s Services in a friendly and courteous manner.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining spreadsheets and contributing to reports on a regular and consistent basis, therefore good Excel skills are paramount, in addition to a methodical and accurate approach to working.
We are looking for a member of the team who has demonstrative administration skills, can be flexible and adaptable and has an ability to prioritise their workload.

Skills
Essential:
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills including telephone manner with a customer focused approach to work.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail within written, oral and numeric work.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member - ability to take initiative.
* Effective organisational skills.
* Proven effective ICT skills.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Experience of working with a range of IT software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and Internet Explorer.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Educated to GCSE O Level standard in English and Mathematics at Grade C and above or equivalent.
* Demonstrable experience of providing administrative support.
* Experience of working in a busy office using a range of administration procedures.
* Experience of dealing with a range of enquiries via telephone, email and face to face.
* Experience of working within a team and on own.
