Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service throughout the hotel.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently.
2. Lead and motivate hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
3. Oversee guest services to ensure a memorable experience for all visitors, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
4. Oversee human resources functions including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of hotel staff.
5. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service quality and efficiency.
6. Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long-term strategic goals for the property.
7. Develop improvement actions and carry out cost savings.
8. A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.
9. Closely monitor the hotel’s business reports daily and make decisions accordingly.
10. Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, are on target and accurate.
11. Maximize room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
12. Prepare a monthly financial report for the owners.
13. Draw up plans and budgets (revenues, costs, etc.) for the owners.
14. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations as well as industry standards.
Skills
1. Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
2. Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
3. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are advantageous for enhancing guest relations.
4. In-depth knowledge of guest services principles and practices.
5. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
7. Proficient in hotel management software and other relevant technology.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
