At MIS, the Success team are at the heart of what we do. Our product is focused on the insurance industry and in order to better support our clients, we hire the people who know the insurance industry best, and who demonstrate an interest in the market.
Our CSAs are the contact point for all our insurance clients, providing technical assistance, enabling intelligence conversations, and supporting their day-to-day needs. Furthermore, they support clients in their interpretation and application of the award-winning MIS Intelligence. Internally, our CSAs collaborate closely with the Product and Intelligence team to ensure our products meet the high-standards expected by our clients.
Areas of Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and perform insight analysis on the clients’ exposure and claims portfolios on a regular basis.
2. Be responsible for all material being sent to clients (outside of the main intelligence portal).
3. Act as the voice of the client internally - this will involve working closely with the Head of Product on the Product Roadmap.
4. Support MIS Technical Development team as they continue to refine the core product, ensuring it meets client expectations.
5. Work closely with MIS Intelligence Analysts as they continually evolve the MIS Intelligence Grid, ensuring that any output is ready for client consumption.
6. Demo the product on a regular basis, and provide in-depth support to prospective clients, in support of the sales process.
7. Engage in client and market events such as conferences and industry programs.
Skill sets & Experience:
We are looking for someone who has:
1. Demonstrable experience of the London Market and Lloyd's of London process or large international (Re)insurers.
2. Understanding of insurance processes relevant to the product (i.e. exposure management, claims, underwriting, broking)
3. Ability to deliver high-quality analytical output.
Must have:
1. Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
2. Operate with an innovative mindset when finding client solutions whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail.
3. Have experience holding technical conversations with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
4. Competent user of Microsoft Excel or similar.
5. Familiarity with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
6. Working knowledge of the main exposure management dataset formats.
7. Have the desire to work in a scale-up organisation.
8. Have a passion for geospatial and location data.
9. Coding experience (primarily SQL, but languages such as R and Python also beneficial)

Our Mission:
MIS are on a mission to revolutionise the Insurance industry’s natural catastrophe claims processing time to deliver funds to those in difficulty via the use of an exciting mix of satellites, drones, machine learning, and human-led analysis.
High-level technology at MIS
We currently have a data pipeline (Python) processing continuous satellite imagery, drone flight imagery, weather information, and population movement data, and are looking to extend the sources for more accurate disaster planning scenarios.
Our client facing web platform (React / TypeScript) is heavily relied upon during catastrophe events for the intelligence we create. Our geospatial searching needs cater for the current use cases, but we want to expand to more robust data ingestion and analysis geo-queries.
