What you will be doing
You will be working with women in Acute and psychiatric intensive care (PICU) services and secure services (low and medium) who present with a range of mental health conditions.
As an Assistant Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment to our service users, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. You will also assist in clinically related administration duties including day-to-day administration tasks, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, training, and project work.

As an Assistant Psychologist you will be:
1. Contributing to psychological assessments and formulations
2. Facilitating psychological interventions on a 1:1 and/or group basis to service users, monitoring and reporting upon their effectiveness
3. Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training to others
4. Maintaining clinical databases
5. Completing outcome measures
6. Writing reports for various audiences
7. Service evaluation and other research tasks including collecting, analysing, and reporting upon an array of statistics
8. Undertaking administration tasks
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
2. Experience of working within a forensic and/or mental health setting.
3. Experience working as an Assistant Psychologist within these services is desirable.
4. Experience of maintaining office systems and undertaking administration tasks
5. Creative thinking, clinical efficacy, and a strong commitment to working with evidenced-based models of therapeutic intervention
6. Strong organisation skills
7. Good interpersonal and communication skills
8. To meet professional practice expectations including the HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and the BPS code of ethics and conduct

Join the multidisciplinary team at Arbury Court and provide care and treatment for adult women in medium, low secure, and psychiatric intensive care (PICU) environments, who have Personality Disorder and Mental Health conditions.
Rehabilitation and recovery at Arbury Court focus on care being 'person-centred' as opposed to 'disease-centred'.
The service is located just off the M62 jnc 9 in Winwick, which benefits from good transport links, making it easy to commute to from most local areas between Liverpool and Manchester.
