The dedicated team at Strathburn House provide residential care for adults aged 65 and over. We are looking to recruit someone who will share our values, behaviours and attitude to care. Be involved in the preparation, cooking and service of meals and beverages to patients, staff and visitors. When necessary assume responsibility for the day to day running of the department, working within set policies procedures and guidelines. Be prepared to work within different local teams to ensure meals can be supplied to patients and residents across a particular geographical location. Ensure Food Hygiene Regulations and practises are adhered to including HACCP procedures. To produce food using standard recipes - quality, quantity and presentation. Take a person centred approach to meal planning via attending meetings with patients and residents to gather feedback and ideas. To prepare, produce and present special/therapeutic diets for patients and residents. Respond compassionately to the catering needs of relatives and carers who have been bereaved or whose loved one is in the end stage of life Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety Policy, Control of Infection. Adherence to security procedures regarding premises, keys, equipment and materials. To be involved in purchasing, correct storage and use of stock on a rotational basis. Assist in the training of staff.
