The post holder will be responsible for coding some complex specialities. They will work as part of the central coding team alongside other coders and additionally with other specialist coders as part of a more expert team sharing knowledge and providing assistance to trainee members of the team. The post holder will act as a "mentor" and first port of call for any coding queries. Together with the Management team, they will take the lead in meetings with clinicians and other Trust staff to review and discuss coding. To advise on data recording practises to ensure clinical coding accurately reflects inpatient care delivered. Undertake internal clinical coding validation audits highlighting training and data quality issues to the Clinical Coding Manager.
