Hotel Services Assistant/ Catering Assistant
Location: Woodlands Hospital, Kettering
Hours: 15 hours per week, Part-time
Salary: Depending on experiences + Benefits

The role:
Woodlands Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Hotel Services Assistant/ Catering Assistant to join our Hospitality Team. As a Catering Assistant, you will be part of a team responsible for the preparation and delivery of food and beverage services to patients.
The Hotel Services Assistant/ Catering Assistant will be responsible for serving food and drink to patients, managing dietary requirements, washing cutlery and dishes, replenishing hot drinks machines, and explaining daily menus.
You will ensure that all work is carried out in a hygienic and methodical manner, maintaining cleanliness throughout the hospital in line with our policies.
Duties include:
* Deliver meals and beverages to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure patients' dietary needs and preferences are met, including any special dietary restrictions.
* Provide assistance to patients with menu choices and help them with meal requests.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of food service areas within the ward.
* Assist with the collection and disposal of food trays after meals.
* Communicate any concerns or changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff.
* Help create a positive, comfortable environment for patients by offering friendly and compassionate service.
* Ensure that patient rooms are kept tidy and assist with other general tasks as needed.
What you'll bring with you:
* Ideally, you will have Catering Assistant experience, but training will be given.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Must have a positive and flexible approach.
* Strong communication skills.
