* Menu Development: Create fresh, seasonal menus that provide variety and meet the dietary needs of residents, including soft diets and texture-modified meals where required.
* Kitchen Management: Oversee aspects of kitchen operations, including food safety, inventory management, and ordering.
* Resident Engagement: Work closely with care staff to understand residents' preferences and ensure meals are enjoyable and tailored to their tastes and health requirements.
* Team Collaboration: Engage with a supportive team in a warm and welcoming environment, sharing a commitment to high standards of care.
Culinary Qualifications: Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent culinary certification.
* Previous Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years working as a chef in a care home, hospital, or similar environment preferred.
* Nutritional Knowledge: Familiarity with dietary requirements related to residential and dementia care, including soft diets and modified textures.
* Food Safety: Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, budgeting, and menu planning.
* People Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage residents in a warm and respectful manner.
Salary: Up to £17,900
