We are currently looking for a Yard Foreman in our Aberdeen depot, to support our growing operations team, this is a fantastic role that will allow the successful candidate to up skill and develop through the company, you will find more details below. Benefits A competitive basic salary Health and well-being related benefits A fantastic pension schedule 40 hours guaranteed Usual working hours Monday – Friday (working days) Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, develop and appraise Yard operatives to achieve a high performing team Review equipment and take action to correct and repair damages to ensure kit is fit for use Manage transport activities within the depot to ensure the most efficient and cost effective use of company vehicles and/or external haulier Be aware of the Statutory Transport Legislation and ensure compliance Monitor loading and stacking against picking lists and other authorised documentation ensuring accuracy of delivery of stock Comply with Health and Safety requirements in depot to ensure loading, unloading and moving stock is carried out in a safe and secure environment Drive and develop a customer service culture and effective communication to enable optimal working methods What You Need Experience in an operative position Experience in a similar sector / industry FLT Licence Full UK Driving Licence Good general health Ability to pass a drugs and alcohol test Environmental Social & Governance Our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy is brought to life through our ESG Champions situated throughout the company, our champions create solutions for the hottest topics in each area of our strategy.
