Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – SEN Primary School Job Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: Edgware, North London Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent Start Date: ASAP or April 2025 (Easter half term) PAY: £90 - £120 per day Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30-15:30 The role will be based within a SEN primary school setting and will have responsibilities spanning both 1:1 and small groups within the classroom, needing a flexible and adaptable person to support young people with adverse behaviours and SEND needs. What You’ll Be Doing: Supporting pupils aged 3-11 years with a wide range of complex and profound learning difficulties. These include severe autism, complex medical conditions, physical and mobility difficulties, as well as severe developmental delay. Team up with the class teacher to create EHC plans that will help your student flourish Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, re-directing negative behaviours and promoting positive engagement, implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours What We’re Looking For: Experience with children with SEN or additional needs – bonus points if you've worked in a SEN school setting, but if you’re eager to learn, we want you A positive, upbeat attitude and a natural ability to connect with kids – it’s all about building trust and helping your student shine.
