The successful candidate will work closely with a non-verbal student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience. This part-time role is for afternoons only, five days a week, with the potential to become permanent.Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal SEN student, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
* Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for the student.
* Monitor and record the student's progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
* Support the student in developing communication skills and social interactions.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working with non-verbal SEN students is essential.
* Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
* Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field are desirable.
