As a Senior Technical Analyst at a leading, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the universitys Microsoft 365 tenancy, with a specific focus on endpoint management through Microsoft Intune. You will ensure the efficient deployment, configuration, and security of end-user hardware and software, ensuring all systems comply with best practices and organisational policies. This is a pivotal role within the IT team, where you will contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing support of critical technologies that underpin the universitys digital infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Microsoft 365 Tenancy & Intune Management: Oversee and manage the university's Microsoft 365 tenancy, including the configuration and administration of Microsoft Intune to ensure the seamless management of endpoint devices. Implement and maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployments. Monitor and report on Intune device health, security compliance, and operational performance. End-User Hardware and Software Management: Manage and support end-user hardware (PCs, laptops, mobile devices) and software distribution across the universitys user base using enterprise-grade management tools. Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint device issues in a timely and efficient manner. Security & Configuration Management: Secure end-user systems by implementing security configurations, patches, and endpoint protection technologies to align with industry standards. Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with internal and external security policies, including Cyber Essentials Plus. OS and Software Packaging & Distribution: Design and deploy operating system and software packages for automated distribution to endpoints. Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure smooth deployment of new software, updates, and patches to end-user devices. Cyber Essentials Plus: Ensure that endpoint management, security controls, and configuration align with the Cyber Essentials Plus certification requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure continuous compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus and other relevant security standards. Support and Training: Provide expert-level support for endpoint management issues to both internal teams and end-users. Create documentation, guides, and training materials to empower the IT team and end-users with best practices in endpoint security and management. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience with Microsoft 365 tenancy management, including user and license administration. Extensive experience in Microsoft Intune (Must have) for device management, application deployment, and endpoint security. Strong understanding of end-user hardware and software management in a medium to large-scale corporate environment. In-depth experience in securing end-user systems, including endpoint protection, patch management, and remote management. Experience with operating system packaging and software distribution in an enterprise environment. Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus (Ideally you will have experience) and proven experience in implementing and maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus security controls. Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across departments and with a variety of stakeholders. You will be joining an experienced team with my client having multiple campuses to choose and work from. For this role, you must be in commutable distance to 1 of my clients campuses and requires you to visit the site 2 - 3 times a month.
