Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Salary: £40,000 Benefits: To be discussed at interview Job Type: Permanent Location: Bolton, Lancashire Job Start date: ASAP Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm We’re supporting our client, a global, leading medical manufacturer based in Bolton, who are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Engineer will have previous experience as a hands-on Electrical/ Mechanical Engineer, as well as proven experience in repairing production equipment. Job Summary: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities used to manufacture dental restorations. Responsibilities for Maintenance Engineer: Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise downtime. Implement planning and scheduling of regular maintenance tasks. Support production operations across the business. Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers. Manage spare parts inventory. Address emergency maintenance issues promptly. Utilize CMMS software for task tracking and maintenance reports. Train operators on routine maintenance procedures. About You: Hands-on Electrical/Mechanical experienced engineer. Proven experience in repairing production equipment (experience with dental manufacturing production is a big advantage). Strong electrical knowledge. Compliance with health and safety standards. Familiarity with CMMS. Experience in conducting PPM on assets. Confidence in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Experience with repair and maintenance of CNC milling machines, 3D printers, 3D scanners, and furnaces. Install new equipment. Knowledge of G-code or Dental milling machines is a plus but not essential.
