Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Skills Development Advisor who will work with young people and adults who might face disadvantages locally in relation to learning or employment opportunities.
You will work 1:1 and in group settings with customers, diagnosing their individual needs which could cover employment, training, benefits, housing, and social issues. You will set SMART targets and deliver information and advice sessions which will support service users to access the help they need to develop, grow, and enhance their skills.
You will maintain regular contact, implementing tailored packages of support that will ensure all customers remain engaged with all interventions. You will collaborate with the National Apprenticeship Service, colleges, and training providers to support young people into apprenticeships and training opportunities. You will deliver sessions in a variety of settings, including some evenings, weekends, residential, and work during school holidays.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be a vehicle driver and you will also complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if successful.
