The Job...
As Meeting & Events Operations Manager you will manage the smooth running of the Venues wedding department and its services, be right hand man to the General Manager & deputize when required. For the position of M&E Operations Manager you need to also have a hands on approach, and be prepared to roll up your sleeves to ensure the customer experience is first class under any circumstances. The hotel covers extensive weddings on an annual basis 100+, and the restaurant is extremely busy. This position of Meeting & Events Operations Manager needs and experienced & time served manager from a Hotel background dealing with multiple weddings, to be able to accommodate the large scale of operations from this beautiful Country Venue.
The Person
Previous experience as a Meeting & Events Manager, Conference & Manager, Operations Manager from a Hotel at this level is desired
Strong employment History in Food & Beverage Management - preferably hotel experience
Has management skills with Weddings, Meeting & events
Ability to both self-motivate and motivate others with a strong coaching ethic
Strong employment values & resilient at all times
Extreme attention to detail in all departments
Ability to train and recruit for new staff when required team orientated
Ability to increase profit margins & exceeding current targets driving departmental performance
Extremely customer focused with a problem solver attitude
Ability to be the face of the organization meeting potential Brides & Grooms
Sales experience would be a benefit to be able to sell the venue to perspective clients
This is not a 9am 5pm position, as you will be fully responsible for the whole department, so will need to be completely flexible to the business needs.
