Process Development Analyst Purpose: Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Process Development Analyst who will be a key support to the Quality Management System in Norfolk, VA. Job Description: Provide technical and administrative support in the National Planning Activity (NPA), which conducts advanced planning for maintenance availabilities on CG 47, DDG 51, DDG 1000, LHA 6, LHD 1, LSD 41/49, LPD 17, and LCS 1/2 class ships for the U.S. Navy. Assist in managing over 180 NPA Level 3-4 documents within the Quality Management System (QMS), consisting of processes, forms, and flowcharts. Facilitate group discussions both in person and remotely to draft process changes and reach consensus solutions. Gather facts, analyzes data, and prepares project synopsis comparing alternatives; recommends action and prepares specifications. Resolve data collection problems and coordinates the work with personnel. Prepare technical reports for use by engineering, scientific, operational, or management personnel for planning, or by personnel in technical services activities. Qualifications: Must have a BA Degree and at least 4 years OR Associates and at least 8 years OR High School Diploma or equivalent and at least10 years technical or operational experience. (Specific Military experience will be considered in lieu of education). Must have experience in ISO9001:2015, Quality Management System development, and Navy Standard Item 009-04. Must have experience in Process development (inputs and outputs, process flow). Must have experience in making flowcharts and technical writing to provide chronological steps to complete a task. Must be able to facilitate group discussions both in person and remotely to draft process changes and reach consensus solutions. Must have experience in the use of Microsoft Excel (basic spreadsheets; functionality formula manipulation), Word (formatting and developing processes), and Visio (flow Chart development). Must have the proven ability to communicate effectively with senior Management and Government officials. Desired Qualifications: Prefer experience working in a SUPSHIP/Naval shipyard environment including both planning and engineering organizations is a plus. Prefer Navy Waterfront Maintenance experience. Working knowledge of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), ship repair planning and estimating requirements, U.S. Navy surface ship maintenance and modernization planning processes, and use of the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD). Security Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. This position requires U.S. citizenship and will be subject to a security investigation. This position may require an additional background screening for base access. Must have a current and valid Driver’s License. Travel Requirements: Occasional Travel- less than 10% If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Physical ability to climb ladders, and transit decks on Navy vessels and the harsh environments found in shipyards and shipboard compartments. Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
