JOB DESCRIPTION About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our team in Oldham on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Partner, you will assist the team by providing a full management accounting service to support the achievement of Guinness's financial and operational targets. The role will also require you to assist with financial analysis and evaluation as required. We offer a hybrid working style covering Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week. What we're looking for We're a customer-focused organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You'll ideally be experienced within the financial sector, whilst also having great customer service and analytical skills. You'll also be able to demonstrate: Good working knowledge of accounting fundamentals. Experience of producing financial and related information for budget holders. Experience of month end financial processes including the production and review of journals. Good understanding of internal financial controls. Proven customer service experience. Ability to analyse and manipulate data. Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines. Good oral and written communications. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Desirable: Experience of using Oracle Financials or an equivalent finance system. Proven experience of managing projects. Essential Qualifications: Part qualified CCAB/CIMA accountant.
