An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Early Intervention Service in Chirk for a Senior Medical Secretary.
The post-holder will need to have previous Medical Secretary Experience, possess excellent time management skills, be well organised and have the ability to prioritise workload demands to meet strict deadlines whilst producing work to the highest standards. The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high-quality medical secretarial and administrative service to the consultant, doctor, junior medical team, specialist nursing teams, and other health professionals.
The post holder will be responsible for the guidance, supervision, and direction of the admin team dealing with appropriate day-to-day issues to oversee the smooth running of the department and providing support to the line manager.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder must also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, using discretion, judgement, and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, together with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence.
The Candidates must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times. It is essential that the successful candidate has a flexible approach to work to meet the demands of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
