DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Working as a team and supporting clients/other staff
* Following the care plan package – observing mental state and safety of others
* Positively managing challenging situations and behaviours appropriately
* Building relationships and trust to manage their vulnerabilities
* Assisting in a routine as well as helping them adapt into the community
* 24/7 support based on 12-hour shifts
* Engaging young people and developing therapeutic relationships
* Supporting young people through therapeutic interventions/programs
* Escorting and supporting young people in the community
* Attending meetings to share feedback about the young person’s presentation
* Completing records and notes in accordance with policy
* Safeguarding young people
* Risk assessment and risk management
* Organising with the young person a weekly planner
* Providing stimulating activities
* Life skills development
* Physical health monitoring
* Empowering young people to be the best they can be
REQUIREMENTS TO WORK WITH US
* Experienced in mental health
* Strong understanding and experience working with mental health issues/disorders
* Strong face-to-face communication skills and patient interaction skills
* Minimum 16 months experience working as a children and adults support worker in the UK
DESIRABLE
* A valid PMVA certificate (BILD Accredited)
* A clear DBS on the update system
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance
Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
