EYFS Teaching Assistant Stockport Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant Location: Stockport Type of Work: Full-time & Part-time available Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Long-term Temporary Pay: £95 per day Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stockport. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with young children and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers and support staff to assist in delivering engaging lessons, supporting childrens development, and ensuring they receive the best possible start in their education. Responsibilities: Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities. Working with small groups or 1:1 to support childrens learning and development. Assisting with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy skills. Encouraging social and emotional development through play-based learning. Supporting children with additional needs, including SEN, to help them access learning. Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment. Helping with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials. Monitoring and recording childrens progress and providing feedback to teachers. What Were Looking For: We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed candidate who has: Previous experience working with children in an Early Years setting (school, nursery, or childcare environment). A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential). A good understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting childrens learning. A passion for working with young children and helping them to thrive. Eligibility Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must: Have the Right to Work in the UK. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the online update service (or be willing to apply for one). Provide two professional references related to childcare or education.
