SENDhelp is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Learning Mentor on behalf of our partner school based in the outskirts of Buckinghamshire in the vibrant city of High Wycombe.
As our new behaviour Learning Mentor, you be working in a school, that is always developing and changing to meet the presenting needs of our diverse students, providing a bespoke and holistic educational environment.
As a Learning Mentor, you will be part of a team that offers unconditional positive regard and acceptance of students, isolating the behaviour from the person, altering the student 's self-concept and altering their self-directed behaviour.
You will be working in a school with a specialised secondary education provision. Supporting pupils aged between 11 and 19 years old who are no longer able to attend mainstream.
The school has no more than ten students on roll, all of whom have cognitive and communication difficulties resulting in complex and challenging behaviours.
As our new behaviour teaching assistant, you will be supporting students who may also have co-morbid diagnoses such as autistic spectrum disorder and other associated neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
