Maintenance Planner

On successful appointment you will have lead responsibility for planning and organising statutory inspections across both AMAC and FDF plants ensuring compliance with UK Legislation. Produce high quality job packs to ensure continued best in class maintenance execution by providing clear job steps with sufficient safety and technical information reducing task delays so that plant on-line time and availability.

Responsibilities
EHSQ
* Ensuring all maintenance tasks are planned in accordance with company and statutory, environmental, health and safety standards to ensure provision of a safe working environment including the Company’s obligations under COMAH legislation.
Planning
* Planning and co-ordinating of statutory inspections in line with due dates across both AMAC & FDF to maintain compliance with UK legislation. You will develop close relationships with area engineers, day supervisors & TUV inspectors to facilitate the inspections.
* Scoping of maintenance activities and production of job packs, (in iPlan), including but not limited to:
* Task sequence
* Labour and resource requirements
* Isolation requirements
* Access arrangements e.g. scaffolding, MEWP etc.
* Lifting arrangements e.g. crane lifting plan etc.
* Risk assessment, Method statement (RAMS) including Specific hazard information such as confined space, vessel entry, first line break etc.
* Permit to Work request
* Checking materials, spares, tools and equipment are available and work orders are ready to execute.
* Managing the backlog of outstanding, unplanned work.
* To utilise the computerised maintenance management system in accordance with business maintenance policy.
* To prepare, collate, review and file reports of work done, equipment technical drawings, data and settings, spares descriptions and hierarchy in electronic and paper filing systems so that historical data is retained, recommendations for the future are made and evidence of work done is available for audit.
* To update job packs with feedback from the Maintenance Execution team of improvements in work task preparation (spares, tools, requirements etc.) and execution (methods, time estimates etc.) as a means to continuously improve.
Turnarounds and Events
* Scoping of offline maintenance activities and the production of job packs, (in iPlan), to facilitate turnarounds and events.
* As required, and when selected, execute tasks associated with the shutdown Tech Team and or support through other specific TAR job roles i.e. area co-ordinator.
Experience
The job holder will have gained a detailed knowledge of relevant hazards, technology, operations, having gained significant experience in chemical plant maintenance in a relevant discipline. They may have undertaken further formal education in a relevant engineering discipline and will have complemented their knowledge with relevant industry courses.
The job holder will use their detailed knowledge to identify critical steps and control points in work methods and make leave/repair/replace decisions. The job holder must ensure that work is prepared, spares planned and tools and equipment available so that work is done productively. As such they must be able to logically breakdown activities and have the foresight and experience to second guess potential problems to minimise delays.
Skills and competencies
Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements in a COMAH top tier site and a detailed understanding of how CF complies with these through site procedures, rules and expectations.
Thorough understanding of computerised maintenance management systems.
Proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.), iPlan and must have well-developed written and oral communication skills.
