Our client base in the Mid Canterbury Region is looking for 3 motivated & physically fit new team members.
Responsibilities
1. Milking: Understands and implements efficient milking practices and keeps the farm dairy hygienic. Records health treatments and solves milk quality problems.
2. Animals: Diagnoses common ailments and treats accordingly. Competent in all aspects of calving and reproduction, e.g., observation, recording, and submitting on heat cows.
3. Feed: Implements best practice for pasture, crop, and supplement management for optimal quality and utilisation.
4. Environment: Understands regulations and management of nutrients, effluent, and water and their most efficient use.
5. People: Trains junior employees in simple skills. Develops communication and reporting skills.
6. Machine, Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains vehicles on the farm as directed by on-farm policy.
7. Health, Safety and Wellbeing: Models a health, safety, and wellbeing culture, records accidents, and identifies farm hazards and biosecurity issues.
Requirements
1. A minimum of 3 years experience in a related field or a related level 4 certificate or any bachelor's degree.
2. Police & medical certificate required.
3. Recent drug test.
4. Driver's license.
5. Did not claim ACC for the last 3 years.
