What youll do: This role is responsible for the co-ordination of business unit financial and performance reporting, ensuring that financial records are accurately maintained. Utilise accounting information to support the management team to establish and execute business improvement opportunities/cost efficiencies. The post holder will have strong communication skills with the ability to confidently discuss financial information via conference call/web conference where necessary. The post holder will have the ability to work at high intensity with minimal guidance to deliver accurate and meaningful reports/results to key stakeholders. Responsibility for the finance function coordinating & supplying business partnering support to the UK Fire & Security entities including, but not limited to:
Take full responsibility for the assigned month end close processes; working in collaboration with business partners and in line with divisional reporting timetables to populate management reporting systems during the appropriate reporting windows. (Journal Posting, Backdata, CONC, Variances)
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis for the assigned business unit(s) and account codes, including full analysis and supporting documentation for all balances.
Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of statutory returns (Tax packs and National Statistics)
Leading internal/external audits of assigned business unit(s) to provide auditors with the relevant information they require to be able to complete their objectives.
Leading the annual physical inventory count process
Assist in the development of improved systems and processes and specifically lead the enhancement of assigned business unit(s) P&L, balance sheet and performance reporting to provide a more accurate and in-depth view of results, forecast and key drivers.
E&O Analysis & predictions for forth coming month and forward looking.
Lead forecasting analysis and calls, with the aim of providing an accurate and timely submission to division each week.
Adhoc creation of manual invoices, credits and reports as requested by business partners
Production of monthly sales scorecards to allow business partners to understand and interpret prior month performance.
Working collaboratively with several COE to provide/obtain necessary information (GFSS, Order Management, Material Planning)
Implementing a strong financial control environment within a multiple ledger business, whilst providing timely and accurate financial information to key business stakeholders.
Work proactively with senior personnel to highlight and evaluate potential opportunities for business / process improvements on a continual basis
Qualifications: High calibre part qualified CIMA/ACCA with industry experience
5 Years
Skills: Oracle and SAP. Advanced Excel skills are essential
Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to work under pressure. Strong analytical skills.
