Calling all linguists with an interest in customer service, languages, travel, design, software, and solving problems. At AVA, we make a bespoke software solution for the decorative printing industry using Apple technology for macOS. This is used for a variety of purposes, but if it’s printed and not a book, magazine, signage, etc., then it is likely its origin is in AVA (think fashion, home furnishings, and even parts of cars!). We are expanding and looking to increase our pool of talented staff to contribute to and support our ever-growing portfolio of products.
Come and join our diverse, dynamic, talented, and energetic team of runners, mountain bikers, climbers, musicians, movie buffs, gamers, animal lovers, creatives, and much more at our HQ based in Macclesfield. Set at the bottom of the Peak District in the stunning Cheshire countryside, whilst also just a stone’s throw from metropolitan Manchester, it’s a beautiful place to both work and play. All our ‘AVAtors’ are hand-picked for their individual skills to support and service our worldwide client base and partners. We employ people from a wide range of backgrounds, but currently, we are looking to hear from you if you are willing to learn new skills and have the following qualifications:
What we are looking for
* Fluent English, French, and German
* Proven ability to travel and work alone when necessary
* ‘People skills': the ability to work well as part of a team and to establish warm relationships with customers across multiple industries, nationalities, and cultures
* Evidence of ability to work hard and strong drive to outperform expectations. AVA aims to remain the best in our industry, and we will not achieve this by employing staff who are merely ‘OK’ or 'average.'
* Based in Macclesfield but willing to travel
* Prior experience in decorative or textile design (or a related field) is an advantage but not essential
* Knowledge of AVA or other (Mac-based) design and colouring software is an advantage.
* Customer Service or Sales experience
Why AVA?
Based in Macclesfield (Cheshire) in the Peak District – just half an hour from Manchester and two hours from London – it is an attractive place to live and work. Once fully trained, you will be asked to travel all over the world demonstrating and testing the software, training customers, and providing technical support. You will be expected to work the majority of your time from AVA HQ in Cheshire; there will be some remote working ability.
