Finance Assistant
Location: Stone
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week, hybrid model
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum DOE
Our established client in Staffordshire is seeking an ethustiastic and driven Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties & responsibilities:
* Sending and paying invoices, chasing late payments, and reconciling company accounts
* Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
* Posting financial data to accounts
* Setting up new supplier accounts
* Maintaining existing account details
* Monthly reconciliation of supplier stats
* Filing companies house and HM revenue & customs documents on clients behalf
* Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date
* Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns
* Complying with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements
* General admin duties to provide support to the Finance Managers and the office
About you:
* AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification in finance or accounting
* Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Xero and QuickBooks and Sage Account 50+
* Experience of delivering exceptional customer service in an office based environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to learn new IT skills quickly.
