This firm specialises in delivering high-impact procurement and commercial solutions across various industries. Role Overview
As an IT Procurement Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and delivering strategic IT procurement initiatives for clients. You will work closely with stakeholders to optimise procurement strategies, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure compliance with industry best practices. This role requires strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex, multinational environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement IT procurement strategies aligned with client business objectives.
* Lead sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management for IT categories, including software, hardware, cloud services, and telecoms.
* Advise on best practices for IT procurement, including risk management, cost optimisation, and supplier performance evaluation.
* Manage stakeholder relationships across global and matrix environments to ensure seamless procurement processes.
* Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Support digital transformation initiatives by advising on emerging IT procurement trends.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements in IT procurement.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in IT procurement within a consultancy or corporate environment.
* Strong understanding of IT categories, including SaaS, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and professional services.
* Experience working in a global or matrix organisation, managing multiple stakeholders across different regions.
* Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to deliver cost-saving strategies.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
